Starting with iOS 11, iPhones save photos in HEIC file format by default. HEIC — Apple's HEIC format — is a great format: it generates images with about half the file size of equivalent JPEGs maintaining excellent visual quality.But there is a major problem. HEIC is an Apple-specific format that is not broadly compatible beyond the Apple enviro
